Join the Great American Smokeout!

Get ready to kick the habit, and become victorious over tobacco!  The American Cancer Society sets aside the third Thursday of each November to encourage smokers to go the distance, and to finally give up smoking.

About 42 million Americans still smoke cigarettes, and tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the United States. Specifically, tobacco use increases your risk of oral cancers, as well as additional dental health concerns. Smoking, and using tobacco products, can cause bad breath, tooth discoloration, gum disease, dry mouth, increased plaque build-up, bone and/or tooth loss, as well as procedural complications.

So if you can quit for one day, you've made an important step towards a healthier lifestyle... Today's the day that quitters win.  Join the Great American Smokeout!

If you're a smoker, or you are concerned about how tobacco use has affected your oral health, schedule a visit to our office to let us take a look.  Let's kick the habit, and improve your dental health together!
